It's easy to feel pressured into drinking alcohol if your friends are doing it, but you should always be aware of the dangers of drinking too much.
The teenage years are an important time for your brain to develop and drinking too much alcohol can have a serious negative effect. It is recommended not to drink alcohol before the age of 15.
Drinking too much alcohol can cause you to lose control and you might do something you regret later, such as having unprotected sex, getting into a fight or drink-driving.
If you feel you are drinking too much, or your life is being affected by alcohol, it is a good idea to ask for help.
Drinking more than the recommended amount of alcohol can have serious effects on your health, including liver problems, reduced fertility, high blood pressure, increased risk of various cancers and heart attacks.
